No it is not the end ,for about ayear now I have been talking about the Localism bill to all the four councils that I sit on,+one or two public meetings,I have been trying to tell them that the days of being a parish cllr and only talking about things they can not do anything about,or geting a salt bin fill up, are over, they will need to get their heads around the above bill, because alot more responsibility is heading their way,and they will all have to read planning drawings etc.and this goes for town councils aswell which is also a parish council,I think over the next few years I can see the councils not geting the kind of cllr that are needed, and some of the older ones giving up because they can not keep up with what is happing. You can download that bill and see for yourself what I am talking about. Every meeting I go to I have it with me.Do I agree with the bill,it is a yes to most of it councils should take on more responsibility, and have more say +doing some of the work ,around them.
