keith
i am not aware of any great love for the tram shelter locally, if people were concerned they would come out to see what the sound of breaking glass was caused by.
mark
the light would be the first thing to be broken.
let's not forget the council does not have an infinite pot of money to spend on this one shelter, they cannot even afford to open the fountain up.

that may be true brian, what is certain is that she will not be found in her ward.
i am left wondering how many others of our elected representatives suffer from that malaise.

most wards suffer from this, and it's wrong to pick out one.
we have been lucky in the past to have 3 cllrs living in the ward, sadly ALL parties no longer do this
but back to the shelter it has to stay

I was a bit surprised to see her standing for this ward again and not the one where she lives. In fact none of the labour candidates live in this ward - none.
I was very pleased with the response to my emails from DDC about the tram shelter repairs, but how many more times do we keep having to do it ?
Seven panes of glass, the etching on them, the fitting and the grafitti removal, as well as the painting of it must come to a tidy sum - I'm certainly not saying it shouldn't be done, but why should the people of any other part of the District keep paying for its repair ?

Which representative are you referring to Keith ?
I'm glad you are not talking about me giving up; if I had of done, I wouldn't have bothered chasing up the work needed to restore it to its former glory.
I guess you must be referring to Viv ?
At least we have two out of three Keith, not none out of three.

Just to let you know that the glass has been replaced in the tram shelter.
I have asked when the refurbishment/repainting is to be scheduled as the shelter looks very neglected and uncared for; I will post on here, the answer.

Typical thinking by the council bods, why did they not wait until the shelter was refurbished before replacing the glass. I bet the glass is broken before the shelter is made smart again.

I have asked when the repainting/refurbishment of this will be made and the answer was "as soon as it can be scheduled".
I do agree that it would have been better if the money was available for it to have been repainted before the new glass panels were fitted, but hopefully it won't be too long.
