Yes thats a very interesting report. Dont have time to go through it all in detail but it seems there is a slight increase in visitors since the last survey in 2006. Foreign visitors have fallen away somewhat but domestic visitors have increased making up the shortfall, the domestic market increased mainly due to the falling value of the pound abroad, one assumes.
Dover still has quite paltry tourism levels in relation to what it could be, given the right development.
Marek no need to do that with DTIZ..caravanners already do that big scale along the seafront every night. Presumably waiting for more economic floor space on the ferries. A virtual village appears on summer nights.They dont spend anything in the town. They come with their own food, drink their own wine, watch their own televisions, park overnight for free and then clear off as dawn breaks.
