14:4778082But mllons of people like eastenders reality or not
lets not get over excited it is just a soap.
Should we not just let those that want to watch this type of soap do so?
I'm not a fan or otherwise, but theres loads of programmes on all channels I wouldn't watch, but i don't come on here saying they should be taken off ar as some are asking.

most people unfairly want to stop either soaps or sports programmes on the box.
as you rightly say there are enough channels to cover what people want to view.

15:1878090This thread is a point of discussion about an incident on a programme of fictional character`s portraying an event which does happen in real life, (though not too often), but the story writer`s, (as always), chose to make a complete farse of it all and produce crap! Eastender`s, Coronation Street, Emergency Ward 10 or whatever, why don`t they get their facts right on storylines, and stop insulting people`s intelligence with rubbish! Sorry, but I`m not a believer in this viewing figure business.

17:4478114Sorry Keith, a bit confused mate, which viewpoint don`t you share with me? Also, I haven`t mentioned anything about banning the programme or any other. I`m not against anybody watching anything they like. I merely started a thread on a poor piece of television script writing. Doesn`t matter whether it`s a soap or a documentary, it just happened to be Eastender`s.

19:1978133Knickers and twist come to mind, Keith. Colin is aggrieved about an inaccurate storyline - and I agree, storylines should be accurate when it comes to detail. The Archers (not that I want to harp on, of course) get theirs right! That's what the specialist advisers are paid for
