2 weeks ago they didn't pick up my waste bin, I am severely disabled so cannot put bin outside the gate, they have been getting bin from side of house for several years
Then they missed one collection, I rang DDC who assured me they would pick it up the next day, they didn't, I rang every day for a while then used email, the people at DDC have been understanding and friendly, but the council seems to have no control over the contractors!
What do I do with the bags? they won't take any extra bags and I can't take them to the council , I will have to burn them, plastic as well
Anyone else had this problem, I did nothing wrong, and they picked up recycling bin last week

That must be so annoying for you, maybe you could email or phone Veolia to complain.
I found this number but not sure if it is the correct for what you need.
Veolia Environmental Services Ltd, Address: Tower Hamlets Depot South, Tower Hamlets Rd, Dover CT17 0BL

We have experienced just this about four times in the last couple of months (in Whitfield). We contacted the council last week when it last happened and they asked us to leave it out and it would be emptied Thursday or Friday. It wasn't!
Bearing in mind recent press, it seems most of it appears to be burnt or go to landfill. So, is it really worth it??

Strangely enough they just picked it up! But waiting two weeks is ridiculous, especially in this heat, any food waste would stink bad

Hi,
Where I live they do not even bother to come round after the refuse lorry has been round. Which leaves a lot of litter around that blows around all weekend. I have put in so many complaints.. The council is just useless as Viola.
Apparently the councillor who in charge came round and did not see anything and said there were no complaints The councillor must be blind and cannot read. I would not hold your breath

I can never quite understand why they collect rubbish on busy roads at peak times bringing traffic to a standstill.Ive often seen Barton road for example brought to a complete halt with traffic queing as far back as Crabble. When i was out in Spain they had a far better system by collecting the rubbish at night causing far less disruption.

If they did it at night, you can be sure people would complain about the noise!
