Yes Sorry Howard it was a long day yesterday,I should have said £10 a week before Tax!
Mark Dover Town Council has recieved a bequest of £10,000 and works with businesses in the Town for the switch on.This is not just about money,it is a time factor as well. The specialist putting up lights are booked months in advance, the earlier the work is done the cheaper it is.All ready some town's up Norf have thier lights up and people have complainted but it is prudent thinking (I sound like Gordon Brown) because it is cheaper.

The money needed would not come from the small indepentant shop keepers as it is too big,the National companies would not be intrested as they would end up sponsoring lights in every Town.Take as an example Boots lets say they gave Dover £500 for lights then every Town where there is a Boots would expect the same for thier Town.

Already Ross on here has spoken to me about London Road traders doing something for next year and when we get the lights on the Agenda after Christmas for next year we will discuss his ideas.
