The Chance has re-opened with a new landlord after a few weeks closed.
We have darts there tomorrow night. Hopefully the cost of Diet Coke has reduced as I'm driving

Or opposite, the Salutation? Always very quiet in there.

Hearing rumours that Farriers are trying sell the Bull.
Since they took over a couple of years ago all they've done is knock down one skittle alley without carrying any work since except build part of a wall that will eventually destroy the other skittle alley.

Now been announced that the landlord of the Bull have been given six months notice and Farriers intend to demolish the pub.
Their ownership of the Bull has been a complete disaster.

The Bull isn't listed. Can't image there's much of the original building left apart from the shell.
Get the feeling that was Farrier's plan all along. Nice plot of land for building houses on.

The planning application was to create an access out of the building through the pub car park, build some extensions and provide parking.
Closing and knocking down the pub had never been suggested. But knocking down 1 skittle alley and planning to knock down the other was never a good sign.

Pubs that make a high enough profit and are well supported do not close unless the tenants or owners need to spend a small fortune to meet any legal safety improvements.
A shame to see it close as many years ago it was our local but the Bull is an old building.

Proper sad about The Bull innit? How long has that pub been there? That really old painting of it and everything?
