Do you know then Paul (Scotchie), Phil or Mandy, if it was a "Trade" day yesterday and mainly/only for Group Travel, was there any one "selling" this area from a group-travel, point of view ?
Surely for Dover to be a successful "destination" - Town or District, it needs someone leading it, co-ordinating meetings and discussions between the Hotels and the coach companies who organise the coach trips to destinations around the Country - doesn't it ? The Coach Tourism Council play a large part in this.
Advising them that (Council-owned) coach-parking is FREE around the District and have all the attractions there, showing themselves off would be great - or do those sites who can afford a stand, only attend ?
Is it expensive for a stand ? I can't imagine it's free, there's got to be a profit element for the organisers, for it to happen.
