Spotted this the other day, it's the new antenna system being fitted at Hougham.

Would have loved to have seen it happening.

If Dover is indeed 'going digital', as it were, this is not only good, but essential, news for the town.
Not only super duper Dubris, however: the whole area needs it - Deal, Sandwich, the villages, the proper sticks, etc.
If our region's ever going to emerge joyously crashing and screaming into the so-called 21st century, then businesses will have to be light on their feet, vis-a-vis new, present and future technology.
No other way will 01304 country pull itself out of the mire with anything resembling a competitive edge. The 'authorities' should focus their efforts on making this so.
Cheers and that,
Andy

Great photos as you say Howard.
Andrew, what you say is so true - an essential aid if Dover is to grow and move forward.
Good news indeed.

Freeview is terrestial as it is officially defined and not satellite or cable.
You have analogue terrestial and digital terrestial.
Terrestial tv is received through your rooftop arial not a dish or cable.

I have only ever seen adverts for digital Freeview boxes and the freeview built into my TV is digital.

Re: the advent of Channel 5 to non Freesat or Freeview houeholds, I was expecting a joke about not all progress being a step forward...
