18:2988222if anyone had said before the start of the season that dover would beat two league two sides to reach the third round then only lose 2 nil away to a third league two side, there would have been laughter all round.
thanks to the team for giving such good publicity to the town and such pleasure to the long standing supporters.

18:3288226They certainly did the Town proud - a good run. A good dream while it lasted.

18:4088233Just leaving Huddersfield, Dover certainly did themselves proud today. After a terrible start with there 2 goals inside 8 minutes Huddersfield showed the difference in class right through the first half. But the second half Dover had most of the play and put in a great effort. Only 2-3 good saves by there keeper stopping us scoring and had we got one who knows. The support was fantastic and very noisy so all in all a good day and roll on Tuesday back to the league at Crabble.

19:1488243What a shame at least they tried, those two early goals must have been demoralising for them.

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.

19:4488255Sorry Paul or Howard please ditch 2 of the repeats above.
Plus to add Huddersfield are 2nd in division 1 so that gives an idea of what Dover were away against today?

19:5988265sorry paul, they are of course division 1, astonishing how part timers can keep full time professionals at full stretch.
long journey back on the coaches for whites fans, are they allowed any booze?
8 January 2011
20:1588268Unfortunately not Howard it is illegal to have any booze on football supporters coaches and games like todays that were heavily policed we have to make sure we comply or the police can check at any time or we would all be in the thick brown stuff. I think a couple of glassed of scotch will be in order when we get back while watching the highlights of todays games :)

22:4588298i thought that only applied to the big clubs, such a pity.
the whites fans must be getting bleery eyed now after an early start and arriving home late.
trust they all have a drink to unwind and reminisce on the success on reaching the heady heights of the third round.
could have been manure(man utd) at crabble.

11:2688319A great day out, that lads did us proud as did all the Dover supporters who were singing fron start to finish. Huddersfield were perfect hosts in making the day enjoyable (apart from the score) and should be congratulated.
Onwards and upwards in the league and then there is always next year in the cup.

12:1988395Well done the the Whites for getting this far in the FA Cup, from what I have read and heard they were unlucky not to have got a draw in the last 15 minutes
