Dover-Calais sports festival

Strange tho aint it, we do have town cllrs post on here, but after such a great event, we have no idea how we did, if it was worthwhile, who were the hero's,
plus much much more.

I have a friend whose son competed in some of the events. She said it was a fantastic day and that we were represented well

Have to say Calais did tend to look after you when you were there - 9 June 2009 18:0323109Yes I went to Calais as Deputy mayor along with Ronnie philpot, we visited 11 venues in all swiming, football,tabletennis,shooting,fenceing,badmington,fishing,etc everyone had along day but a very worth while one.
overall Calais won our teams all did well, we were all looked after in fine style and Tracey and Debbie the Town Council staff that came along with us did a brillant job.
As was said the paper's as such do not seem interested in good news story's perhaps its a good job we have the Forum
