took this photo a few minutes ago.
this jam jar has been parked two doors from me since i went out at 10 a.m.
very intriguing, it is taxed for many more months, the bodywork is superb as is the interior.
why would the owner leave it there?

Chancing his arm really I suppose; do enforcement officers come that way on a Saturday Howard ? One ticket would stop him.
A question though; is the car parked dangerously, or on a junction (it doesn't look like it) ?
Are the double yellow lines really necessary for road-safety ? Maybe we should look at taking away unnecessary double yellow lines, I'm sure we all know where we think they should be taken away from.

ROGER;
surely roger taking away the double yellow lines will only make priorys parking problems even worse?

Depends where they are and where they may be taken from.
Unnecessary double yellow lines create as many problems as not enough, or ones in the wrong places.

Roger, given your position, you seem to suggest that councils can pretty-much restrict parking on a whim or that the necessary or advisable reviews are not taking place.
The 22 examples on the link below show that there is a world of work and effort involved...

Could it be Howard that there was a Blue-Badge showing at the front of the car?
Ignorance is bliss, bliss is happiness, I am happy...to draw your attention to the possible connectivity in the foregoing.

in answer to roger's question parking services normally only visit the area early on a sunday morning.
the evidence is here.

just noticed that the car is facing the other way so the owner must have driven off sometime after midnight and returned before 7 a.m. and parked in exactly the same place.

But their visits have nothing to do with traffic management I would guess - unless someone called their emergency line for it to be ticketed. It obviously didn't have a disabled pass on it.
No Tom, I do not have any special insights, nor am I suggesting anything.

the last time i saw parking services around here other than early on sunday mornings was on a saturday afternoon last summer a couple of hours after a badly parked car was pictured on the forum.

Maybe they are waiting for your pictures Howard, so you better keep them coming

like that everywhere brian our equivalent is the junction of malvern road and clarendon place.
people park there and go off to the station meaning buses, delivery vehicles and emergency service vehicles cannot get through.
the chap i speak to at kcc is very helpful and it is a problem to them as they subsidise the bus service up there.
they have made various representations to parking services at d.d.c. and are coming up against a brick wall.

howard,a car was parked on that corner when they painted the yellow lines,so now the car can come and go and still not be parked on yellow lines.you need to see it to beliuve it.

As I've said before why are these pictures a forum topic and not sent to Traffic Enforcement?

They have been Helen - not just about traffic management or enforcement, but about waste and litter too and action has been taken.
