So Vic
You want to put an event on this year. What When Where, How much will it cost the council tax payer of Dover?
Will the Sun pay for this event?

looks like the victor bashing season has opened again.
he can handle it, he became famous as a pugilist by bashing frank bruno's fists into submission with his chin.

If you would like to know it was the same as lastyear it was going to be Chess this time at the Dover Collage with the players in Harry Potter dress this has not been done before the headmaster was all for it ,and talks had been going on for some time, there was no funding needed from the council there was some funding needed I was going to to put that up, this event might still go ahead but it has been some time now it was going to be done last Feb/09. But I must say at this time I just do not feel like puting my self out again I am wrong in thinking that way i should just carrie on we will have to wait and see.

I will add this to that I am not going to say sorry to anyone over the the Status Quo story, at that time I put alot of my time and cash to bring one big event to our town, so it did not work out,but the other ones did and they were good ones, and i am not going to say sorry about that story geting in the sun newspaper, at this very time that true story is being told on a webb site, like some of you I also have put some small funding for events in Dover and not just to get my name in the local ,I just liked doing it.that is just about it, i do not mind what you say , but no sorrys from me.
I do remain your s faithfully vic M

Mr Dimmock. i have told this before on this forum I did not get any funding from the story in the Sun.
As for the town council, it is all about the bad times we are in,and needed to make cutbacks till the times get better, I said that both councils should be made into one the staff at the town council could keep their jobs but work out of the building at the top of the hill. But it is only me saying it you do not have to agree with me.when we all get back on our feet if we do then we can look at puting back the way it is today.it is all about good house keeping. your wife like mine goes out and does the shoping what do they do, they look around and try to get the best deal for what cash they have, and the wifes are very good at it, and the same must be done with all councils not just Dover good house keeping is the way forward, if we do nothing we will lose it anyway, this way we can save some of it if not all.
i remain yours faithfully Vic M

To be fair you have been active in the political arena so you would know the cllrs, but the general public who are not so involved don't
Many surveys have been carried out to prove this.
I also know who my cllrs are but iv also been active,
The posting was about do we need them all.
You will find Stuart in my posting I was supportive of Town council.
