Basically, the American people are indebted to the sound of $17 trillion.
Plus local state and city budget debts. Plus private debts, including mortgages.
The Republicans have understood that the public debt cannot be just "passed on" to the next generation.
The alternative is like Labour in Britain:
the granddad passed the public debt down to the dad, who passed it on to his son, who now wants to hand it further to his own son and grandson.
It always gets bigger.
People don't know why they vote Labour, but do so because their dad and granddad did.

Fortunately Keith S. has seen through it all and won't vote Labour.

Keith (S) is still a Socialist Alexander, he just doesn't agree with the current Labour party policies as they aren't "left" enough.

good to see two former political foes working together, all that's needed now is for keith to endorse clair as the rightful flag bearer of the left.

Keith's decisions here should be respected, it's his right not to endorse the Labour candidate if he doesn't want to.
I don';t endorse anyone either who I feel doesn't have the entitlement to a position they claim to hold.
Keith doesn't believe Clair got to her position by democratic means, and that is a valid argument.
