Why is it the reports on things happening in Dover, are never put out all kept quiet, on you tube, there is a clip showing a gang beating on Christmas Day, up in the high street, near the doctors surgery, is it kept quiet to keep the crime figures down

Having seen the video, it happened at night, and it is not possible to see where the attacks took place, so I assume it was not in Dover Kent, but perhaps elsewhere.
This assumption is based on the thought that the Police would have reported the incident to the local Press had it taken place in Dover.
Either that, or they did report it to the Press, and are investigating, but the Press did not publish the event, or they did publish it, but the article has gone unobserved.
So someone would have to read through the recent local Press editions to find out whether it was published, and whether the Police are investigating, and if the Police have asked for witnesses to come forward.
So once it is established whether the attacks actually happened in Dover, we await an eventual response from the Police with regards to investigations, and requests for witnesses.
Otherwise I must assume the attacks did not take place in Dover Kent.
Hopefully someone will clarify.
If this did happen here in Dover, a public request is necessary to find out whether the Public is in danger of being attacked in the streets, or if this was a gang-related crime concerning a personal dispute.
We have the right to know.

Yes I also wonder why this has not been mentioned before, the first I knew about it was this morning via an email. The inference is that is was a group of immigrants but this is just a guess.
Alexander, Sheila told you where it took place why don't you believe her. I have just watched the bit on You Tube and it certainly looks like the top end of the High Street by Paydens just before the traffic lights, and you wonder why you frustrate people.

Just watched the video and i am pretty sure that it was in Dover, what i find hard to believe is that he filmed it when he should have been calling 999. Did anyone call the police at tnhe time

Looks like Dover to me, just past the high street surgery. That's really scary isn't it, and I can't find any mention of it in the Dover Express.

So if it is established the incident took place in Dover, the next question is:
was it an attack on members of the public, or an internal dispute between rival groups such as often happens in London?
It would be reassuring for the Public to receive a clarification that the Police are investigating.
I think the recent referendum on Policing was in the spirit of keeping the Public safe and reassured.

i am wondering what time of day it was, dark by about 4 pm so cannot be sure it was late at night. does anyone know the police response time?

The cameraman is still posting under his video. He took the injured back to his place:three teeth gone etc.
He will either fill in the gaps or somebody will have to put the right questions to him.

I am not practicing to be any law court lawer, Ian, just wondering what is going on in this Town and why the Police have not given us any explanations.
That's all! I find all this unnacceptable and hope someone will ask the Police to give us all an explanation.

I expect the police have had it taken down just in case the case ever gets to court.
As an aside John, London Road starts the other side of the traffic lights so it happened in the High Street.
