11:4782783It is from the River Parish Council Roger it goes on to say ,The Dover District Council has issued a consultion docment about this and over 100 more sites offered by landowners in the Dover District before it recommends to Government which to include in its Site Allocation Document of the Dover Local Development Framework.
When approved the Framework will be the basis for development for the foreseeable future.

12:0382790only at consultation stage vic, incidentally i thought there was talk about the possibility of the football club being moved to the dtiz site and crabble football ground being sold off for housing.
all pipedream stuff at present, but sounds like a very good idea.

15:2582819I dont take kindly to being ignored.I think you will find the leaflet stated in conjunction with DDC ward Councillors for River .
I t is a joint effort between DDC ward Councillors and River Parish Council
It was in the paper and on the DDC web site .Neither ward Councillors are stating anything that is not in the public domain .
I may not be out and about but I do work from home .Trying to get our road cleared at present .

15:4382823I did not think it would be long before the standin Chairman of the D.D.C. got in on this one.I will say again what is on the Leaflet word for word. Whilst the sites are both outside River Parish, they are adjacent and, therefore, the River Parish Council has already raised objections to these sites.
(1)The loss of a very attractive green open space amenity and sports ground.
(2)The single access from any Gorse HILL DEVELOPMENT on to Crabble lane.
(3)The effect of traffic from over 300more homes trying to get into and out of the only two River access fon to Crabble Hill and London Road .
(4)The impact upon the existing local primary schools.
This is the Parish Council saying this, but again I fully agree with them.
And you will see when my leaflet comes in some of you doors that i am and have always been against over and large developments, even more when it takes over our town football ground,How can the football club plan ahead with this hanging over their heads,

15:5882829That is the correct proceedure Ross.I along with several residents have already done that.An acknowledge has been received .You can view objections on the web site .
Vic if you read the whole document you will see the words in conjunction .The Ward Councillors are not permitted to use a crest The document was compiled by the councillors DDC and Parish who truly represent their wards interests .

17:1382841Well I do not know how I missed this one ,but after ringing round I was not the only one ,even the press did not know, but they and others do now,This one is not do with any party but I am talking as A Dovorian, this is a disgrace and I am deguised this has even got this far,how can any football club plan ahead knowing that they might not have a ground in five years time, and also at a time like this, they are now in the history books of the club by taking it to the 3rd round of the FA Cup,I just hope all of you will tell others aswell to get your views heard and put over by the 23Dec2010 AND THAT IS NOT FAR AWAY you can do this by post to the Forward Planning Section, White Cliffs Business Park.Dover CT16 3PJ or email
forwardplanning@dover.gov.uk Now there was over 4000 of us there last Saturday we need all of them and more to write or email in DO IT NOW.

17:4782847If the press didn't know they were not doing their jobs. This has been in the public domain for a while,as has been shown here, and any local reporter worth a damn would be checking for this kind of thing. It isn't difficult, and is more worth the reporting than many of the more sensational but less accurate and less interesting items they often include without thought of consequences.

20:0082887I should think it was discussed on the forum about a month ago so it was not exactly a secret, as Bern says the press were not doing their job properly

20:0582893i did see an article in the press on the matter, not sure which paper though.
the thing is any possible housing development is so far in the future that it is not much of a story.

21:0482905HOWARD sorry but that is not right this could happen within two years that is not long for the football club to get a new home.In the Site Allocation framework. When Approved the framework will be the basis for development for the foreseeable future, that sounds to me that they are way down the line on this one.
