    This is pure government spin, turning disorganisation and shortage into overuse by frontline workers.

    Hancock: 'There's enough PPE to go around, but only if it's used in line with our guidance... what I am reiterating, stressing, is the importance to use the right amount of PPE.' [My italics.] In other words: 'you're using too much.'

    I particularly like Patel's weaselling non-apology: 'I'm sorry if people feel that there have been failings.' In other words: 'it's your fault.'

    Hospital PPEs don't improve with age and look great with a bit of gunk on. They're single-use items, disposed of after every task.
