There does not seem to have been a lot going on to report. Yes, we get regular press-releases, i.e.puff-pieces, but there are no real assertions of public support. In the main these things read much like the, now banned, out of context theatre critic quotes that used to adorn 'front of house' porticoes.

"Craig and I were out in Broadstairs and Ramsgate on Saturday chatting with hundreds of local residents..."

Could not the, "The end is nigh!", sandwich-board chappy say, with just as much conviction, that he got his message out to hundreds of 'residents' by bawling at passers-by?

" It was obvious just how popular she is locally - full stop" "We received a warm welcome from residents,[what might 'warm welcome' mean? Were they all residents, no visitors, no holiday makers?) who share my concerns about anti-social behaviour, drugs and front line policing."
"who share"?? What does that actually mean, compared with what it may mean or is intended to convey? It sounds like one of those sweeping statements that politicians make as if they are talking for the whole population.

It all reads like simple-minded puffery, "Today, I'll mostly be eating pie.", empty vessel stuff.
