Thank you Howard. There are plenty more where that one came from which, on reflection, is an indication of a mis-spent life mainly remembered by the agony of crawling out of my bed before dawn to get the shots! Still, I've been doing it for over fifty years now so I'm not likely to change very much.
I think you'll agree that with"skyscapes", as with sun rises and sets, the important thing is to get the shot immediately because the whole thing changes very quickly - sometimes in a matter of seconds.

Lovely photo Penny, really dramatic.
If I was a betting man, (which I'm not), I'd put some money on a medium level cloud - possibly an Altocumulus formation of some type - maybe 10 or 12,000 foot cloudbase? I'm not sure though...sorry!
