Its not a matter of whether they support this or not, it is not actually nothing to do with them only those who have a direct interest in the running of a business.
Brian - I see many people from all walks of life every day, in my office and at networking events, let alone socially. Probably more than you do and because of what I do I know exactly what people are paid and how they are paid. That is why I know many business owners who do not draw an income from their business or have taken income cuts.

i think i might cry soon baz lol
brian does get about a bit
everyone views things differently
wouldn't it be boring if they didnt
baz; because you feel you know a lot, you tend to think others that don't share your view dont know as much, you will find that this is far from correct

Read what I have said, Keith. I related from what I see and because of what I do, from what I know as a fact rather than opinion. The first line in #23 is opinion, the remainder is fact. That is not to say that Brian does not get around a lot himself of course.

i have always harboured suspicions about you brian, you could well be an eccentric billionaire that buys his clothes from jan's shop just to throw the tax people off of the scent.
stops the sacks of begging letters too.

Some observations
a) Rastani is a "day trader" who over the last 4 years has amassed a loss of £10k on his trading activities
b) he lives in a semi in Bexleyheath owned by his female partner
c) fund managers charge an investment management fee for looking after your money and then pay all their costs out of that - most actively managed funds for institutions (excluding property) are charged around 35bps (0.35% of the assets held) per annum. On top of this the fund will have to pay market transaction costs, brokers commission, fund accounting, transfer agency and custody/safekeeping charges this amounts to probably somewhere between 0.6 & 1.15% depending on lots of variables but generally the larger the fund the smaller the percentage charges.

Keith - I have seen your idea of what constitutes an expert and have seen no sign of financial knowledge from that person.
Ross - Thanks for pointing that out. When I read what this bloke said I just thought what a berk and did not bother to look him up as he was clearly not up to much as an asset manager. You put the 'city fat cat' jibe into a proper perspective as clearly Reg did not realise what he was either....

barryw;
obviously heres an issue which we never agree on.
i know that the guy to whom you refer has as much knowlege(probably a lot more than )yourself.
just because he/everyone doesnt agree with you, doesn't mean they dont know anything

I am not talking about agreement or opinions but simple displays of factual financial knowledge and its that which is lacking there Keith. Do try to establish the difference. He is full of prejudice and empty of knowledge.
