rather a surprise to chance upon people's port champions neil wiggins and pat sherratt this morning along the seafront.
both in cheerful mode and confident of the eventual success of their bid.

it did look as if they were preparing for a meeting paul, thought better of enquiring though.
i forgot to ask pat why he had not posted for a while, one of our most thought provoking posters.
always seems to go missing around election times for some reason.

Just to let you know,we have not given up the fight to save the port from being sold off ,i am still against the P/P as they would like to call it,and the sell off by the D.H.B. It should stay a Royal Port as it has been over 400years,as I said many times before going the P/P way could see the Port Bankrupt in a few years with a receiver being called in and then it will go overseas at less. We are not out of the big recession yet and it is not the time to take out a over £300million loan.

What a great photo Howard, certainly shows off our new seafront as well as these two hopefully soon to be saviours of our town!
Bout time you gave it a break VM - gets tedious after a while

you're right jacqui the seafront is dover's jewel in the crown, spotlessly clean and pleasing to the eye.
even the lady with her seafood stall has put out some gaily coloured street furniture that fits in nicely.

Vic, your reply gives a good example why you were not elected in the recent elections.
You think you can totally ignore what the people of Dover want and they voted FOR the Peoples Port, those against were a very, very small minority.

Vic, I'm a banjo player, I've been told that rules me out of being called a musician!

Using your logic you would have been voted in by all those who did not vote and The Monster Raving lot would be running the country.
