Sue, we have written to Cllr Bartlett a number of times since March 2020 to no avail in getting DDC to enforce their own planning conditions. As I stated in my previous post, on June 14th, 2021 DDC wrote to me telling me in no uncertain terms that I must not engage in further correspondence with Cllr Bartlett or any other elected councillors or individual DDC officers forthwith regarding this matter. That is why our solicitors are now trying to correspond with DDC but unfortunately they are met with DDC's total refusal to engage and answer our solicitors' straightforward questions.

This is why I am compelled to share this important information here, on Dover Forum.

I'm struggling to understand how things can have got to such a pretty pass. Would not the local government ombudsman be the next step for complaint resolution?

Personally, I have very little faith in DDC's planning department because they appear to have been so easily swayed by poilitical pressures in the past. That has no bearing in this case though.
