  sounds like john o'farrell, cannot be serious for too long. a bit i remember from his book was when he was delivering election leaflets and he got a very long letter from someone who was unhappy that the leaflet was not put through his letterbox properly and half of it was showing outside. our hero sat down and wrote an even longer letter apologising profusely over the incident then went round and stuck it halfway through his letterbox.
