Well we all know dont we...what the world hates most of all is a smartarse...and on this matter yesterday Cameron was the ultimate smartarse. He uttered the cheapest of cheap shots at pensioners or those at or near pensioner age. Those people of a certain age who are trying to hold on to jobs and keep working have just been humiliated.
But now these hard workers throughout the land, and Dennis Skinner among them, are all ready now to have the Prime Minister's nasty quote hurled at them. It is true it wont bother Dennis Skinner, he has been through thick and thin, but it was fairly nasty and produced groans of disapproval from all sides.
Cameron is good at PR. He comes on TV regularly to show how caring he is, how he is doing what's best for the country..he is good at the cosy chat on Andrew Marr for example, but at questions in The House some or much of the veneer slips off and he exposes what he is really like.
It is beginning to look like Cameron is rattled. In comparison his rival across the table Ed Miliband is beginning to look ever more dignified with his cool suits, quiet demeanour, and flash of grey hair. Cameron's eternal response to Ed Miliband as being "weak" is beginning to look....ermmm weak!
We spoke recently about Dennis, that's him in the picture right, as being a bit of a legend by now..getting older its true, perhaps even a dinosaur from the old days, but the last of an excellent dying breed. He should be enjoyed and appreciated.
