You may remember a while ago BuddyG posted on here about his forthcoming jump from 10,000 feet in aid of the Pilgrims Hospices.
I have the sponsorship forms here at Blakes if anyone would like to support the cause.
Also, this Saturday 14th May he will be playing at Blakes from 8 till 10 pm. The Pilgrims Hospices are a cause close to us as my father died in the Canterbury hospice in 2000 and he was very well looked after. No formal entry charge but I shall be twisting everyone's arm to sponsor Richard for his jump a fortnight later.

Should have mentioned:
1. All are welcome but an indication of numbers would be helpful!
2. A few light nibbles will be provided on the house.

You're a nutter Richard. I'm papping myself over a balloon ride i got for my 40th. I'm being pressured into naming a date to go floating over 2ft in the air. I could never jump out, parachute or not. I get queasy standing on the kerb.

Hi Roger,
That was a good one! Do hope to see you again.
Lorna,
Try the one at Leeds Castle...at least it's tied down firmly to a cable there!

Hi Buddy. I'm flying virgin quite literally. I'm papping myself. Should be a good pilot and i'm being pressured to set a date. When is the best time of the year to go hot air ballooning????

Hi Lorna,
Afraid it's mostly down to local conditions at the base, years ago I won a balloon flight and it was only valid for a year, it took almost 10 months to get it organised with a few mis-starts.
Usually, calm non-windy days with little cloud cover - omg! now I'm talking like Michael Fish..ooer.

Just a reminder that Richard (BuddyG) is performing tonight at Blakes to raise sponsorship for his jump in aid of Pilgrims hospices. Kick off 8pm. A few nibbles (soup, garlic bread, sausage rolls) provided on the house.
We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible; anyone who can't be there but would still like to sponsor Richard, please email me or Richard, or drop into Blskes where I have the sponsorship forms.

Buddy, best of luck.
Lorna, you will be fine honestly. I have done several balloon flights and they are wonderful. Hardest part is climbing into the basket! It's so quiet and peaceful up there and after the first couple of minutes you'll be looking at everything oohing and ahhhing at how tiny it all seems.

Bit of a sweeping statement calling those of us who are not there for whatever reason, bl**dy cheek calling us miserable so and sos. I am knackered after my stint at the shop so put that in your pipe and smoke it.

Jan I think you may have misinterpreted a light-hearted comment by Barry.

I would not have mis-understood the comment if there had been a smiley like this

or this

after it.
I am glad it was a good evening even if I am called miserable.
