Took my old bones on the high speed train to London yesterday with the family to see my daughter Briony achieve her Bsc ( Medical Sciences). There was a grand presentation. Its a great achievement for her..I sometimes look at her and cant believe it as it seems like only yesterday she was small and I was teaching her to ride her bicycle. But here she is at University College London (UCL) last night...and well on her way to being a doctor, only half way there as yet but well on her way.

going off at a tangent young english doctors have been very rare in recent decades.
at my surgery i have seen two young english doctors(both female) in the last year, when i was last in the nasty wing of the k & c a young girl that i took to be waiting for a lift from her mum or dad turned out to be a doctor, a very good one too.
whether the trend will persist is doubtful due to obvious reasons.
