Is good to see all the local newspapers pick up the story, fingers crossed that either the culprits are found or we get a donation of some replacement equipment.
Sadly the pathetic thiefs have gone one step further and now stolen a load of recently laid turf in the ditch of the Drop Redoubt.... it was put down to improve the public access by reducing the large step at the end of the tunnel into the moat. It occcured sometime between 5pm yesterday and 2:30 today.
Been nice knowing you :)

on the positive side did anyone see the news item this morning where the bill and english heritage visited a house in east kent that was playing host to an aladdins cave of heritage items lifted from the thames estuary?
there was a ships canon that was worth tens of thousands in monetary value and priceless in historical value.

Talking of the Thames Estuary. As I understand it all those iron railings that were cut down for the war effort were in fact dumped around the coast. Being more trouble than they were worth.
Ignorance is bliss, bliss is happiness, I am happy...to draw your attention to the possible connectivity in the foregoing.

I have just watched the item on the local BBC news, the canon is worth in excess of £40,000, I wonder if they had a buyer lined up.

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.
