Big brother rubbish

but cannot believe the rubbish it is now nearly finished , last week had jedward dressed asbabies and them throwing food about, so who is it pitched at not me in 70,s more like kids around 10 but then it is on after the watershed when they are in bed

- 6 September 2011 15:08125030Ah yes paul, once upon a time C4 had a huge hit with this one but its appeal slumped. Its a fairly dead duck now, but has been picked up again by C5, someone has tried to breathe some life into a corpse.
Here's a couple of shots of the girl of the moment. If you are over 25 you wont have heard of her. Even I, being just a tad over 27(!!), even I hadnt heard of her either, but it seems the kids all know her. This dad is just not on the pace no more...

I don't watch much telly but I caught sight one evening this week of some sort of quiz/game show (don't know what it was) and it caused me to reflect: it was all about gimme gimme, huge cheers and applause at the mention of large sums of money, almost hysteria when someone won something. This kind of thing, along with Big Brother, seem to sum up, for me, some of the things that contribute to a less appealing society. I have no objection to money or the acquisition of same, but it all seems a bit frantic and self/money centred and to be honest left me feeling a bit bilious!

My plans to bring to this item to mass media audience yesterday was scuppered by our technical assault by person or persons unknown.
But back to Big Brother the celeb version...Unfortunately the geezer wot wunnit took us all by surprise, an Irish Gypsy called Paddy Doherty. I think he was Irish anyway. Never heard of him myself but he won.
But here was I, waiting with picture at the ready for Kerry Katona's name to be called out...well I was so sure she was going to win, she being a female favourite, currently on the cover of every gossip magazine between here and the Cairngorms. But no, it didnt happen she didnt win, but she was second anyway.
So yes here I am with a pic of Kerry to satisfy the gossip factor...and to save my blushes as I dont have a pic of him wot wunnit.
She scrubs up well, having spent the entire three weeks lying prostrate on the sofa in slob mode and wrapped the whole time in a woolly blanket jumper and a woolly hat. On the cover of the magazines she looks 2 stone lighter..were they air brushing?? Surely not.

The winner, Paddy Doherty, was on that Big Fat Gypsy Wedding programme, people seemed to take a liking to him so now he's a Celebrity, guess thats how it works

To tell the truth if I have to, I only caught a couple of episodes and it is unlikely I will be watching the non-celeb version now currently running...unless it develops a newsworthy crises. I dont watch Strictly Come Dancing or X-Factor and everyone, like everyone, seems to be watching...so spare a thought for me a lowly foreigner...its tough being out there on the fringes of society, knowing everyone else is watching, knowing you dont belong..sob!
