I've sent round an email Newsletter on that Harry, but with the initial one I couldn't find anything anout what's going on on Saturday, then I found the Rhythm and Booze info.
I've put it on the Dover Forum and tried the Dover Locals site too, but couldn't load it on there as it was (apparantly) too big.
Hope then weather holds.

As long as you don't try the blackcurrant flavoured cider - tastes like medicine!
Good vibes in spite of the rain

I don't understand this latest thing of flavouring cider. My brother in law had some Koppaburg mixed fruit cider I tried and to be honest it tasted like an alcopop, couldn't tell it was cider at all. I am getting a taste for the Stella Artois pear cider, sorry cidre, though, very nice

cider should only be about apples and at a stretch pears, i have tasted the stella one and agree it is very palatable.

My brother his wife and I went to the Corn Mill late afternoon - about 5.30 ish. Had a couple of beers/ales and a burger (pretty good).
The weather was awful but not sure if that kept the people away or the fact (some people said) it wasn't publicised enough.
Quite liked the music, but when the band started playing/singing Cliff's Move It, my brother suggested we go.
Maybe a chat with Kathy B. about it a week or so ago, would ensured an article in Thursday's paper.
Hope the weather is kinder for Monday's family day.

Roger, It was in the paper it was also on posters in shops around the town and it was on KMFM, we can not afford big advertising, so have to go with what we can get on the cheap so it is not correct it was not advertised.
Monday is also advertised and all we can hope for is better weather. There is no music on Monday, there will be a bar and stalls plus bouncy castle, face painting, stalls and good old Punch and Judy. There is a Mill Nursery Rhyme hunt for the kids as well. All we need is good weather and people to support us.

Thanks Harry.
I haven't read the local papers, so maybe I shouldn't have commented on that bit and we haven't been in Town much either; but I was only repeating what others had said - sorry.
Good Luck for Monday Harry and everyone else there; I know you all work extremely hard to promote the Mill and make the events work.
The weather hasn't helped with many events put on around the country.

We did have over 100 in total pass through yesterday which considering the weather and it being mainly out in the open was not that bad.
As you know Roger we were taking phone numbers for when we draw the lucky programme number, so we know from that there were people there from Ashford, Folkestone, Canterbury & Margate areas plus three people from Cyprus so word must have got out.
The trouble with advertising events is the cost, it is not cheap and if you are a small run charity putting on an event it is difficult to know just where to draw the line on that sort of costing. People who do not see what you have put out will always say you have not advertised it enough.

Good to see you Roger. Agree the weather didn't help but it was as always a friendly gathering. Forecast does look better for today and tomorrow.

Good to see you too Tony - you looked very smart.
It was indeed a friendly gathering; Ian is always a happy man and a welcome site at the Corn Mill Do's (you're a welcome site anywhere Ian !)
I quite enjoyed the band that was playing, I enjoy listening to live music, especially old songs, but I put that down to my age (37 !!!)
