I'm currently trying to dry a wet bee that fell into a puddle on some kitchen roll!
What was the puddle doing on some kitchen roll??

a light dusting of talcum powder works for me, mind you that wasp never returned.

Ha ha ha Bern, he fell off the lavender and into a puddle on the patio during the massive downpour we just had.

The other day I rescued a bee that fell into a bucket of water, he soon dried out in the sun and flew off. I am still waiting for my jar of honey as a reward, ungrateful little blighter.

Jeane - I think lavender flowers make bees sleepy, I often see one 'fall off' or just become mesmerised !

lol! John..oh he is naughty.
Glad the bee took off okay Jeane. I did wonder if that would happen, I did ask myself... was it to bee or not to bee.... All round it was a very bee-guiling feature and no mistake.

I have lavender outside my patio doors. Bees visit all day long. Previously I had believed that there was no wild life round here but they belie that opinion. It behoves me to plant more bee friendly plants. There is nothing more beeyewtiful than flowers bedight with apians tho' this morning they (the plants) are rather bedewed. Better stop now, feeling rather bewildered.

Yes, PaulbB - B Bumble and the Stingers - I believe their hit (just the one ?) was an instrumental one.
