I rather enjoy its surrealism. I hope Vic is ok and that whatever was vexing him has been sorted out. Butterkist and lime barrels.

What in the name of a holy Scottish bagpipe is going on now?
How did Vic manage to publish a bad email, and then take it off without the Forum knowing?
Does Vic have access to editing tools?
If this thread does not fall foul of reality, then hacking, or tomfoolery, has been going on!
I'm innocent, been working today and yesterday, haven't flogged any emails off!
If the case has been consigned to the Police, then big-time stuff must be on the play.
I'm off to Essex again this week, so can't follow up the episodes.
Dash!

Alex we all have those edit tools bottom right but not intended to be used to wipe your entire thread content. very bad form that. They are there to fix the occasional cock-ups that we all have..simple as that.
Vic sends out a lot of comic spam type emails...I would suggest this could be the area worth looking at because not everybody wants those. Maybe there could be a problem there Vic.
Yes indeed Chris, this is a case for the hard-nosed detective Sam Spade...

Does anyone know what these "bad e mails" refer to?

Is bad an acronym for Bored And Desperate?

Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was told what it is all about this morning and seems like a lot of fuss about nothing very much. As Vic has not enlightened us about what is going on I do not think I should, sorry.

Vic showed me the emails today. It's just stupid spam originating from Russia, saying that your partner has been cheating on you. When you click on the link which is supposed to show pictures of your dearly beloved in flagrante delicto with your best friend, it takes you to a website selling cut price prescription drugs such as Viagra.
Typical spam which most of us delete without reading.

Kent police won't be bothered, they used to have a dedicated officer who dealt with these types of emails as they often lead on to other types of cyber-crime, we all had an address to forward them to when I worked at the uni.
As Vic did actually click on the link I hope he's got a decent and up-to-date anti-virus!

To think Vic took it seriously is hilarious and also rather worrying that a councillor is so gullible to be taken in.
