Maybe people who can make decisions, will realise that Manston is an airport ripe for expansion and needs many more airlines to fly to/from there.
East Kent's economy would grow so much and everyone would benefit.

A good rail connection would be needed. Ideally it would branch off the North Kent line between Birchington and Westgate. It could be a cheap single line as at Stansted or a more proper double track.

Most definitely Terry.
It'd be millions/billions cheaper than expanding Heathrow or a Thames Estuary airport.

Although I sympathise its about catchment area, Stansted, Gatwick, Heathrow are more accessible than Manston to millions of people.

22, I'd favour a new parkway station at the Minster junction, connected to the airport via shuttles in a tunnel under the runway.

I suggested the North Kent line Peter rather than Minster as it's the least used and faster. From Minster you tend to meander via either Dover or Canterbury then Ashford.
Whatever route, a rail connection is essential.

The Javelins come via Ashford & Canterbury, making Minster by far the faster option.

the current road link would need a radical overhaul if there is to be any major expansion of flights from manston.

I agree Howard and both rail and road improvements are essential and still much cheaper.

Yes Terry but they come off HS1 at Ebbsfleet and then trundle through the Medway towns at the usual snail's pace.

The BA A380 has just flown over Dover again - this time on its first revenue flight with paying passengers to Frankfurt.
