as per usual a car was parked on the double yellows at the junction of malvern road and clarendon place earlier meaning that only the very smallest car could get through.
the difference today was the driver was inside and refused to move.
after much consultation with our very large driver he made the decision to roll his
car forward so that the bus and the build up of cars could get through.
I like the touch, Howard - revealing his reg number. Nice one!

that picture was taken from inside the bus after he had moved forward, he claimed to know no english.
not sure what knowledge of the language is required to identify double yellow lines additionally a dirty great bus in the rear view mirror with an irate driver mouthing something.
Some things are in a universal language!

you don't pussyfoot around keith, in most cases not the answer though.
the trick nowadays is to buy a car at an auction for a few hundred quid, don't tax and insure it and drive it until eventually get stopped by the police or clamped.
not a problem as a replacement car will then by bought at auction and so it goes on.
a chap up at westbury road openly brags about it.

Grrrrrrrrr! The usual "me no understand English" that is the first phrase they all seem to hope will get them out of trouble.
Did anyone see the cops programme on BBC1 last night where some Romanians were caught stealing from charity clothing bins, they used the same excuse.

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.

the same car is there again this morning in exactly the same position with the driver inside.
That crushing option begins to look more attractive.........

Hopefully the driver will suddenly be able to understand sufficient English to get out of the vehicle before it is crushed

Pity I don't drive up that way, I'm very good at making (ignorant) people understand me.

grass grows by the inches but dies by the feet.
I used to have a chinese boy who worked for me who used to buy cars (and incidentally mobile phones as well), use them and wear them out, dump them and get another. He did not bother with road tax or insurance. Unfortunately I had no actual proof as he was never daft enough to bring them to work. It beats me how foreigners seem to know all the tricks going when I never been able - or willing come to that - to get away with anything in my whole life.

this car for a fuller story is one of many that park on the pavements in clarendon road/place
in the interests of fairness in giving a fuller picture

Networks of information and scams are past on amongst some of the new comers.
The system relies on the fact that in British society we are basically honest and follow the rules.
When people see that they can brake the rules and nothing will happens to them it's the green light for this behaviour.
Labour and the conservative never factored in this concept when they opened the flood gates,
All they could see was cheep labour for there friends in business
The affects on society where never thought of.

i do think we have to be fair on this one and not pick out one section of the community.
if you walk along clarendo road/place you will see lots of cars parked on the pavement many owned by british people.
if we want to crush one car then we should crush them all
