I am surprised they took so long to reach the guilty verdict, a long sentence would seem to be appropriate but that is all up to the judge.

jan that's a minimum they must serve,25 and 20 years in nick is a long time.

my guess is that the accusation of rape muddied the waters with the jury, we don't know what the judge said to them in his summing up.
