My son is called Jarvist after the excellent Jarvist Arnold who was one of the 'Heroes of the Goodwin Sands' in the 1800s.
He (Arnold) is buried in Kingsdown churchyard and there is a Jarvist Close, in Kingsdown to remember his name.
Just a thought.
Why not name the next road in Deal/Walmer, 'Arnold Layne', as well as commemorating Jarvist I suspect that we would be inundated with well heeled Floyd flans having their photograph taken next to it and spending their money locally?
