11:2789764Did those hoods go up when they saw your camera or is it just cold?

15:3289797Yes, it is the one from the Charlton Centre, so not really a new shop after all which is a shame.

16:0889802I see that there is a new shop going into the old MHK Bathroom shop at the London Road / Tower Hamlets junction. I didn't get to see what it was though as was driving past.....

16:1389806The Charlton Centre should be bulldozed, and the current stores should be offered premises on peppercorn rents in empty premises between Ladywell and the Market Square. Glad to see a 'new' shop opening in the high street. All good.

16:1789809Hey Andrew where have you been..bin missing you

...but yes you are right. The Charlton centre has outlived its usefullness being too small...way too small for todays needs, so it needs getting rid of. Your either big or dead nowadays. It is good to see the real street premises filling up.
Well done with the pic Terry. A pic is worth a thousand words here.

17:0089816Hi Paul - good to hear from you.
I've just been phenomenally busy, and have barely had time to throw in my pithy epithets of late!
What's the latest on the White Horse, by the way? Would be so gutted to see that treasured Dovorian oasis close for good.
Cheers, White Army etc...

17:2289821Oriental mini-mart is a good little shop and we get quite a lot of stuff there. Also of note is the Gurkha shop up at Burgoyne Heights. It's a branch of the Everest cash and carry in Cheriton. Lots of Indian and Nepalese goodies there. One of Charlton Centre's weaknesses is that there is no free parking period in its own multi-storey car park.

17:2789824Most people use the supermarket carpark where the parking is free regardless of where people are shopping. Charlton Centre is mainly used by the long term parkers.

17:4989833#7. It's Suite World's second shop Lesley (from further up the road).
MHK downsized to Beaconsfield and now downsized again to between Lotus House and Youdens in London Road.
