As from October there will be four buses an hour to and from Canterbury. As well as the 15 at 15 minutes past the hour and the 15A at 45 minutes there will also be a 15B at 23 and 53 minutes. This bus will go via Crabble Hill and Lewisham Road.

Wow, four buses an hour from Lydden to Dover and Canterbury - all we need now is decent broadband and a mobile signal that doesn't require a hike to the hilltops and we'll feel almost connected to the world.

wasn't long ago there was only one bus an hour on that route and none at all on sundays.
stagecoach do an excellent job in east kent, my only complaint would be the almost non existent evening services.

Some of the parishs around Dover would not agree with that, they are still only geting two in one day if they are lucky and one of them is before the time of the Bus pass,so the O.A.P. HAVE TO PAY FULL FAIR.

i don't think that anyone living out in the parishes can complain about 2 an hour vic, densely populated clarendon area and maxton only get one an hour.

Sorry I have put that right it is only two a day.

you must be talking of places right out in the sticks vic, that wouldn't be down to stagecoach.
kent county council subsidise those routes and they have said that they cannot afford to do so much longer.
soon it could well be none a day.

that is in the sticks mr vic, it is not en route to anywhere in particular and very few people use the bus there as they have a rail link.
lydden will see 4 buses an hour even though not many board or alight there as it connects dover and canterbury.

Wrong Howard, it's a hotspot for bus use as we haven't got a railway station, even though we've got trains

i can only go by the evidence of my own eyes ray, i use the service once every month(approx) in the day time.
at least 90% board in greater dover up until temple ewell then get off in canterbury, the same on the return journey.
a guesstimate is that 2 or 3 people get on or off in lydden.

I'll concur with that Howard. In fact, to be sure of a seat I sometimes get on the bus at Frith Road before it fills up at Pencester. Then just a couple of people that I know get off at Stonehall.

Stagecoach are providing yet more services for the public.River will still retain an hourly bus service via The Ridgeway and Buckland Hospital. My understanding is that an improved service is going to be provided for the residents in the Pilgrims Way area. The buses used for the 15C will be smaller than the Diamond .

pilgrims way used to be covered by the old 62 service but they diverted it because of badly parked cars.
