Just to make you aware that the field behind Astley Avenue top of Standhope and Danes Court. This has been purchased by 3 developers. They have said that by the end of this year they will be clearing the filed removing all trees then spraying it to kill what is left and then flatten which will destroying nature.
After this applying for planning as of yet we don't know any more details, but I feel it should be public knowledge and bought to local resident attention thanks for reading.
I haven't set foot in that field for over three decades. Possibly four. It used be part of "our turf" when we were kids, before it was fenced off for horses. Aston Jubilee anyone? Horrible bitey little foal!
Watch out for the snakes.
With a bit of luck they'll build a multi-storey carpark
