different kind of thing brian and we don't know whether a jail sentence will be handed out if a guilty verdict is read out.

not a bad idea keith but if the general public are as indifferent as their neighbours then all hope is lost.

We encourage spiders. They are harmless and eat many other pests.

she does seem a bit off her trolley, why does she not trap them with a cup and saucer and release them outside if she has a phobia of them?

Howard, if she has a genuine phobia she might not be able to stay in the same room and certainly would not be able to get near enough to capture one.
I can deal with a small or medium sized spider but absolutely hate those big black ones that scuttle towards me and in my eyes are the size of a plate and have 20 legs.

I wonder how many cans of air-freshener she has delivered to Parliament...to keep away those awful smells of the spider-infested countryside she represents?
There may be a market soon for many other creams etc.;Cattle-Gone, pig-remover, and sundry anti-tractor treatments?

jan
when i first move here the woman next door used to knock on my door to ask me to get rid of spiders, she was most upset that i released them once outside believing that they would come straight back - never heard of a homing spider before.
tom
summed up nicely, maybe she is one of those that objects to cocks crowing in the morning?

Going slightly off topic with this one Howard
Did you know that snails have a homing instinct, therefore it is no good throwing them over the fence into next door's garden they will only return.

I only learnt about it a few days ago from some TV programme, which explains why I seemed to never get rid of mine.
