The drinkers were out in force in Pencester Gardens by 10 am and they were beginning to sound off, the language not very pleasant.

Been talking to a police officer in the town this morning ,all the drinkers and ones that sleep in door ways are gone bar one and he told me they are going to move him on town looking good now the law out out each morning all washed down again .I do hope if any of the ones that have be moved on need help and are willing to have it ,that they get it. we wait and see, but well done to the police officers that are in the town.

When I went through earlier there were just 5 drinkers and they weren't making a noise therefore a marked improvement but I wonder where the others have moved to.

The chap with his bedding in the vacant shop in Cannon St. was there at midday talking to a couple of his mates from a prone position.

Mostly been a success so far with many of the problem characters moved away deep into Pencester Gardens thus causing less of a nuisance. Good also that retailers have been visited and reminded of their responsibilities.
