I knew that there was a possible snafu, although I had hoped it would be because the council was in negotiations with a possible 'partner' in the enterprise. The plain fact remains that about £1,000 is missing from the coffers each week that this remains dead space.
The tendering process we looked at a while back was dire...DIRE!!!
This is a positive amenity going to waste, you'd think with all the hot-air from the local blow-hard MPs, with their job bazaars, and 'money' attracting schemes, somebody could knock-heads and ensure that this blot-on-the-landscape was transformed into a local-employment success story. A single stone killing many birds of ill-omen...and a joy to behold.

If only instead of much money being lost, some cash was injected into it for the benefit of a few locals directly and for many, many other locals indirectly and for visitors too!!!!

If only the brother-in-law of Councillor 'X' was back from his umpteenth holiday, he could take on another public asset?
[The last line is a joke, a joke born of ignorance of the local scene...or is it?]
