Got the wrong end of the stick. I thought John Goodwin had won the Euromillions there for a minute.

No Ray, not even the cricketers or the wrecks conservation group. I was expecting the tidal casual bait diggers but wait in anticipation.

Just one practical thought on this daft idea, where would the ships go if this joke was ever built, the Channel is not that wide.

It is an idea that has been around for decades and surfaces every so often just like Channel tunnels and Channel bridges
Been nice knowing you :)

I'm worried about the cycle path. Cyclists rule supreme in transport matters.

If you tip enough concrete you can build anything, its haw much money to do so that's the project killer .

Seriously Howard, do they really think they can land aircraft in mid channel without effects on thru channel shipping , let alone the cross channel industry. a non starter & Boris has no control in the English Channel let alone lower parts of Thames Estuary. There are already complaints from residents about low flying traffic from Manston off the coast without night flight problems.
So treat it as joke. No doubt is could be built engineering wise but channel traffic will kill it dead. Don't see the French loving it.
