Average UK petrol and diesel prices have risen by up to five pence a litre in the past month, propelled by oil prices that, at one point, touched $120 a barrel following unrest in the Middle East. The cost of a 50-litre tank of diesel has gone up £2.50 in two-thirds of the UK's regions.
The cost of a barrel of oil has dropped back to $111.

Unleaded prices have risen by 4.1ppl from 128.8ppl to 132.9ppl.
Diesel prices have also risen, by 5.0ppl, from 134.0ppl to 139.0ppl.
The price difference between unleaded and diesel has risen to 6.1ppl.
Northern Ireland recorded the highest price for unleaded at 133.8ppl. Yorkshire and Humberside recorded the lowest price for unleaded at 131.9ppl.
Northern Ireland recorded the highest diesel price at 139.7ppl.
Yorkshire and Humberside have the cheapest diesel at 138.2ppl.
Supermarket prices for unleaded also rose over the month by 2.6ppl to 130.0ppl. The gap between supermarket prices and the UK average for unleaded has risen to 2.9ppl.
The UK has the eleventh highest unleaded price in Europe and the second highest diesel price.
