  Sorry Helen, I have run out of sympathy for drink and drug abusers. Unless the person themselves wants a different way of life, I don't believe you can 'look at dealing with these peoples lifestyles', nor would they thank you for our interference. There are rehabilitation opportunities for anyone serious about change. I'm sure you are all aware that when the new Flat Rate Pension comes in, existing pensioners will be excluded. Not only is this shameful and discrimatory but the cost of including them would be the SAME as benefits currently paid to alcohol and drug abusers. Having read the comment re: giving two young girls a lift, my husband reckons he would be hard pushed to pick up a fella let alone young girls. A sad reflection of the times in which we live.
