    OK German four engined aircraft.....

    There was the HE177 but you could not tell it was 4 engined as it had them coupled as pairs and it just looked like a 2 engined aircraft so that could not be it. The HE277 was a 'decoupled' 177 but only prototypes were built and was never in operation so that cannot be it.

    The only operation 'true' four engined aircraft was the FW200 Condor (not a true bomber - it was operated as a long distance maritime patrol aircraft. Picture below Kath:


    They did have several 4 engined type under development but again only prototypes were built. JU89 and HE274 being examples.

    There was the AR234 Jet late in the war, very rare and not a likely candidate.

    There was also a massive 6 engined JU390 but again only two prototypes were built and that is also most unlikely.
