Much as though I dislike bringing politics into all these threads, I do have to say that our local UKIP branch is supporting Phil and his colleagues in this absurd decision. I would appeal to every Dovorian, of whatever poltical colour, to sign Phil's online petition; if you don't like the politics of it all, just do it to support employment in our town and the knock-on effect that will have on the economy. I know it's a small number of people, but that's irrelevant.....these are local people affected by this, your neighbours, friends and fellow forumites. And, if for no other reason, sign to support a good man and committed Dovorian; Phil is one in a million, and deserving of everybody's support on here.
