The silly season...

....is with us already...

Just looking through the papers the number of 'non-stories' demonstrates that.

But it is not only the newspapers - the BBC are at it. They jumped in glee at absurd claims by the brother of one of the Woolwich monsters of ill-treatment in prison. As if we care and it is clearly utter 'bull....' anyway.

Then after the coldest June on record the papers are full of 'sun related' problems..... We are never happy.....

Ahhhh well..... at least a baby will be born soon (very soon from what I heard just now!!!) that will keep the media going for a few days. In the meantime perhaps we should all just forget about the newspapers, radio and tv news and just enjoy a brief, all too brief, period of summer barbeques, and a gallons of PIMMs......

One of the sillier news items did, however, manifested itself today with Cameron announcing a clampdown on the content shown by internet search engines. Anyone with half a brain can see that this is just mere posturing by him and his team in order to show that he was "doing something" no matter how pointless and futile that something was.
He's got form in respect to his method of trying to convey himself as some sort of hard man and it doesn't wash.
As far as gallons of pimms is concerned doesn't that go against the grain in terms of government policy on the consumption of alcohol? If so I'm off to the supermarket to get some more in.
