Your views count - play area facilities for Colton Crescent, The Butts and Aycliffe

Tuesday, 8 July 2014
Three key surveys have been launched to find out community views on the refurbishment of play areas at Colton Crescent in Dover and The Butts in Sandwich, and on the preferred location and facilities for a new play area for Aycliffe.

Surveys have been launched to find out what sort of facilities people would like to see in their communities. DDC is also asking people in the Aycliffe area where their preferred location would be for a new play area, with choices of the previous location in St David's Avenue, Sunny Corner, or the Recreation Ground.

DDC Officers will be at the following events/locations with surveys:

  • Aycliffe Residents' Meeting at the Church Centre on Thursday 10 July at 7pm
  • Consultation on site at Colton Crescent Play Area on Monday 14 July from 3pm-5pm
  • Sports Day at Aycliffe Community Primary School on Wednesday 16 July from 11.30am-2pm
  • Summer Fete at Green Park Community Primary School on Friday 18 July from 2.30pm-5pm.

Questionnaires are being sent out for pupils at Aycliffe Community Primary School, Whitfield and Aspen School, Green Park Community Primary School, Sandwich Junior School and Sandwich Infant School. Surveys are also being sent out for community groups using The Phoenix Centre in Sandwich.

Completed surveys need to be with DDC by Friday 18 July. To complete a survey online visit the DDC website at www.dover.gov.uk or for more information contact Community Engagement Officer Una Mills on (01304) 872274.
