Smokefree Poster Competition Winners

Monday, 23 July 2007
Prize-winning pupils have been presented with posters of their winning artwork following a special competition to mark the introduction of national Smokefree legislation.

The competition was organised by Dover District Council's Environmental Health Team, to help raise awareness of the new legislation, which makes it an offence to smoke in virtually all enclosed public places and workplaces in England. Six winners were selected and were presented with posters of their designs at their schools. The posters will be used for promotional purposes in the district.

The winning entrants were: Megan Terris from Sandown Primary School; Nicole Savage from Charlton Primary School; Gemma Lawson, Haydon Butcher and Kye Clark from Whitfield and Aspen School; and Ryan Littler-Laing from Downs Primary School.
