Going to be a long winter and spring, what happened to the four week election campaign?

WE will be all fed up by the time May comes unless the blues call it within the next month or two which they might do if they show up good in the polls they do not have to wait till May.Just glad I am out of it all now.

Do keep up -
Fixed Term Parliament Act 2011, there can only be an election before the 5 year term is finished if there is a 2/3 majority in a vote of no confidence, that isn't going to happen.

All very overkill now with the reds saying the blues will take us back to the 1930s and systematically destroy the NHS while doing so and the blues claiming that the reds would lead us into an even larger deficit and debt.

Sky News is really hyping the election today, with reporters in marginal seats around the Country, when I say reporters they actually double up as Conservative PR reps in accordance with the company allegiances.

I turned Sky News off this morning as I was fed up with all the election waffle with other news virtually ignored anyone would have thought the election was in a couple of weeks rather than in May.

What I can't work out is where the parties get there money from, always pleading poverty. Poster campaigns have already started and to continue paying for hoarding space for 4/5 months will cost a fortune.

Vested interests sponsor the party that suits them and their lifestyle best, same as always. Sky and the Sun do their daily part for the Tories free of course

Our Dave was meeting Mrs Merkel today to discuss repatriating powers from the EU back to sovereign states, should be a laugh.

If all major towns were given back their A.&E Units we would not be getting the long Q waiting over four hrs to be seen by Dr unless that happens we will see even longer Q.We all know that so why do the MPs not.?

Agree Vic.
Part of the problem is so many now want to see a doctor for a sore throat or a small cut something that twenty years ago would not have happened.
I had to see a specialist today at Margate, I said I do not want an operation (which they said I could have) unless it would improve the quality of my life, result I am not having one unless things change.

Just read something that makes me wonder if the Politics Forum either comes under this legislation or needs to be taken down until after the election -

I doubt if any of the political pontificating posted on this forum would influence anyone to vote or not for any party.

That is an interesting read, don't see it affects this forum as no money is spent as far as I know, Facebook pages will have to be looked at though. So many supporters of parties have pages under their own name that things get blurred. Will have to read that through a few times to make sure I have not missed something.

The amateur political supporters on Facebook are more likely to stop people voting than encourage them going by the hysterical rubbish they tend to post.
